Phantom of the roads

Phantom of the roads

Sunday 5 April 2015

The emus have arrived - where is the park?

And the phantom strikes again, this time in the beautiful beachside town of Agnes Waters. To the true form of the phantom, we were applauded and liked, but before we were truly noticed, waking up to a beautiful morning swim, a big Aussie kids breaky (weetbix) with a slice of the Sunshine coasts best, (pineapple) we were gone. Emu Park and Yeppoon, here we come!
We must give credit to Gympie, as far or as long as our travels have been, I have  never been through a more RV friendly place, rest areas with free camp sites  that have all the facilities, and well maintained also. Just another beautiful Queensland town doing it for Queensland and catering for Australia. Sunshine Coast could learn a thing or two from Gympie council.
Now back to the birth place of my beautiful Talei: Rockhampton. And the way things are looking, it could easily be the birth place of - I don't know, king or queen?
Rocky looks weathered  and tired, looks like they are still recovering from the cyclone. Emu Park, oh its like I never left, the same old tractor with the boat trailer that was at the boat ramp when I left is still there five years on, and the place still has that laid back feeling, even with a new IGA. Dinner at a friends place tonight, and I wonder what tomorrow will bring. Happy Easter everyone.
